Parent Communication

Connecting Home and School: Our Parent Apps

At Platt Bridge Community School, we know that great communication is the key to a strong partnership. We use a variety of tools to keep you informed and involved in your child’s education, ensuring they thrive in our care.

Quick Updates and Written Communication

For fast reminders, school news, and links to important letters, we primarily use Class Dojo and text messages. To make sure you never miss a thing, all texts are sent to the primary contact listed on our system.

We also use the Arbor App to work alongside Class Dojo. With the Arbor App, you can:

Connecting with Teachers

Every member of our teaching staff uses Class Dojo to share what’s happening in the classroom, celebrate pupil achievements, and provide information on whole-school events. A fantastic feature of Class Dojo is that it offers automatic translations into more than 35 languages, so you can read all posts and direct messages in your preferred language.

You can also use Class Dojo to communicate directly with your child’s teacher. However, for urgent matters during the school day, please contact the main school office by phone at 01942 487999. Our friendly office staff are always happy to help and will liaise with teaching staff as needed.

Other Ways to Connect

You can also connect with us through our Facebook page, email, or by telephone at 01942 487999.

Our phone system has a voice recording that will quickly direct you to the most frequently used extensions, such as the school office, attendance, or pastoral support.
